About Our History
Where the story began
Founded on October 22, 2023, Lujo Bar and Restaurant began as the amenity restaurant of Farmfield Hotel. Built through the vision and passion of husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Ma. Monicque De Leon and Eutert De Leon, the restaurant was created with one goal in mind: to provide Tuguegaraoeños with a dining experience that combines comfort, hospitality, and exceptional Asian cuisine under one roof. The dream was simple, a simple dining place where Eutert’s deep love and passion for cooking is shared. Lujo first opened as a cozy dining space located beneath the hotel roof, accommodating around 80 guests. Despite its humble beginnings, the restaurant quickly became one of the most talked-about dining destinations in the city. Serving a selection of Filipino, Japanese, and Korean dishes, Lujo warmly welcomed families, friends, tourists, and large groups looking for memorable dining experiences. Its inviting atmosphere, generous servings, and dedication to service allowed the restaurant to grow rapidly through word of mouth. As the demand continued to rise, Lujo began implementing reservation-based dining during peak hours to better accommodate its growing number of guests. Soon after, alfresco dining areas were introduced, giving customers another way to enjoy meals in a relaxed open-air setting. KTV rooms were later added, transforming Lujo into more than just a restaurant, but also a place for celebrations, gatherings, and unforgettable nights with family and friends.
The Lounge Bar Opened
After its successful first year, Lujo expanded further to cater to Tuguegarao’s growing nightlife and social dining culture. The second-floor lounge, known today as “The Lounge,” was opened to offer a wider array of beverages perfect for barkadas and evening sessions. Guests were introduced to premium selections of whiskey, cognac, tequila, cocktails, beers, and other specialty drinks, creating a more elevated dining and nightlife experience within the city.
Bigger Space for the Main Dining Hall
Seeing the continuous influx of guests and the increasing demand for long-table celebrations, receptions, and family gatherings, Monicque and Eutert envisioned a much larger home for Lujo. In March 2025, the new main dining hall officially opened, significantly expanding the restaurant’s capacity to accommodate up to 300 guests in a single seating. Alongside the expansion came an even broader culinary offering, with Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese dishes added to the menu, strengthening Lujo’s identity as a premier Asian dining destination in Northern Luzon. The expansion also introduced more specialized dining spaces. VIP Dining Rooms were created for exclusive celebrations and private gatherings, while board rooms offered formal yet intimate spaces for meetings and business dining. To make the restaurant more family-oriented, a dedicated playground for children was also added, allowing parents and kids alike to fully enjoy their Lujo experience together. In November 2025, Lujo unveiled another exciting concept: Terraza, the restaurant’s third-floor terrace dining experience located at the main building of the hotel. Terraza became known as a relaxing café-bar destination that comes alive every evening with glowing lights, music, and scenic dining ambiance. Offering coffee, beverages, pasta, sandwiches, cocktails, and comfort food, Terraza quickly became a favorite spot for chill nights, casual dates, and late-night conversations overlooking the city.
Grand Gala Hall Was Born
Just a month later, in December 2025, Lujo once again expanded its services with the opening of the Grand Gala Hall located on the second floor of the restaurant building. Designed to host large-scale events and celebrations, the Grand Gala Hall can accommodate up to 700 guests and may also be divided into two smaller halls for more intimate occasions. Since its opening, the venue has hosted numerous weddings, birthdays, debuts, corporate events, seminars, and social gatherings, becoming one of the most sought-after event venues in the province.
200+ Asian Dishes
Today, Lujo Bar and Restaurant continues to grow as a symbol of family dining, celebration, and hospitality in Cagayan. With more than 200 dishes on its menu, multiple dining concepts, event spaces, lounges, and entertainment options, Lujo has evolved far beyond its beginnings as a hotel amenity restaurant. It now stands proudly not only as one of the largest restaurants in Tuguegarao City, but also as one of the biggest and most dynamic dining destinations in the entire province.
